Acclaimed Chef Barend Gouws, who runs our restaurant, first came to the Anna Beulah in 2019 to get married, and never left. He fell in love with our farm and, more importantly, with what we were trying to do here. We fished our luck, because he comes with an amazing culinary CV.

Our Place


Our deli and farm-shop supplies truly organic, freshly harvested and seasonal produce. Let our barista whip up a cappuccino while you wait for your veggies to be picked (or you can pick them yourself), harvested and prepared. We are especially mindful of the dangers of pesticides, herbicides and preservatives. Our garden is fertilized with natural manure and compost and our produce is seasonal and local – in that way we keep our goods affordable.


We are most conscious of our farming methods and have developed a hydroponic farming section that is super-environmentally friendly. Our farm has grown and we’re now growing olives and almonds; both are available at our stall and our seventy bee-hives are known to produce a few pots of honey now and then too.
